Ayuko Sakurai, the designer of the award winning jewelry design work Secret Garden says “This hand-fabricated piece has intense designs, directly on the surface or riveted individually. Lines and curves on the surface were carefully imprinted with steel tools that were also designed and made by the artist. Many of the images on metal came from personal memories of travels and studies of different cultures.
