Chen Lu Cao (Kiley Chaw), the lead designer of the winning work Gaia Collection explains “Gaia Collection is inspired by Greek Mythology, Gaia is the mother goddess of Olympus, of all Greek gods and goddess, portrayed as mother earth. When I read this myth, I felt deeply touched, I felt the strength and balance aspect, as well as the chaos aspect from Gaia’s story. This urged me to design this collection. I chose gemstones as my main material, gemstone, a treasure holding the energy of a little universe.
