Benedikt Achatz, the lead designer of the winning project Mr Beam II explains “The design with its outstanding corner flaps states that this is a tool you can use in your workshop but also on your office desk. The flaps allow to store it upright without scratching the housing. It is portable and also easy to access and control with any Wi-Fi enabled device running a web-browser. We attached a camera to the safety lid. It provides an accurate preview of the working area including the object you have placed there. Dragging a design into the desired position is now super easy.
