Bean Buro, the designer of the award winning design Disappearing says “The design brief was to refurbish a 1,485sqft apartment for a young family of four in the south side of Hong Kong Island. Unchanged since the early 1990s, the apartment had closed off rooms accessed by a long corridor, and large windows looking over the ocean. Bean Buro’s approach was to open up the cellular compartments by making the corridor disappear using sliding partitions, allowing two children rooms to be joined together to become one large playroom. ” Learn more at at: https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=54904
