Tomas Vacek, Art4Leg, the designer of the award winning cybernetics design Art4Leg says “The Art4leg prosthesis cover is shaped into the form of a natural human leg. 3D scanning is used for customization by taking accurate 3D scans of the user’s healthy leg. The personalized surface of the cover expresses the lifestyle of the individual for whom it has been designed. The cover is 3D printed from durable plastic. It is attached to the leg prosthesis by using high-powered magnets that hold the front and back panels tightly together.
