Björn Ischi, the creative mind behind the winning project The Roomkitchen explains “The kitchen as a standardised product! The idea was to develop a Kitchen that works as a room divider. With access on two sides It’s a so called room Kitchen. What does the customer wants. The answer is: a simple, honest and straight kitchen. First there’s a base frame of compressed wood. The frame can be produced in any desired size. So the customer can assemble the kitchen the way he wants. I do not build a kitchen, i press it, by pressing , the kitchen has no rough edges.
