Petar Zaharinov, the designer of the award winning work 1x3 says “1x3 is inspired by interlocking burr puzzles. It is both - a piece of furniture and a brain teaser. All parts stay together without the need of any fixtures. The interlocking principle involves only sliding movements giving a very fast assembly process and making 1x3 appropriate for frequent change of place. The level of difficulty depends not on dexterity but mostly on spatial vision. Instructions are provided in case the user needs help.
