Sean McCaul, the creative mind behind the winning project Gaelic Games VIC explains “Gaelic Games Victoria is an organisation that manages the Irish sports of Gaelic Football and Hurling in the Australian state of Victoria. They needed a brand identity had to symbolise both Gaelic Games and Victoria, and a logo that worked equally well reproduced online and embroidered onto jerseys. The inspiration behind the logo design came from exploration and research into vintage Australian Rules football crests and Gaelic crests from Ireland.
