A' International Design Award and Competition is pleased to announce that the musical instrument work Shatron by Ermanno Aparo: Designer, Liliana Soares: Designer, João Teixeira: Designer and Jorge Passos: Designer has been granted the notable A' Design Award in Musical Instruments Design Category elected as the winner by the international judging committee of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of submitted designs.

Details of Shatron

E.Aparo, L.Soares, J.Teixeira, J.Passos, the creative mind behind the winning musical instrument design work Shatron explains “This object is one of more commonly device for a brass instrument. The design solution allows optimal performance conditions as it covers all the standard sound requirements. It consists of ten recycled wood scraps of different densities and types. The structure is produced in carbon fiber filament with 3D printing technology. The product took the meaning from the pyramidal Russian roofs of the 14th century used to amplify the acoustic of the architectonic space.
