The designers goal was to transform the design of the hotel to provide guests with a quiet and comfortable accommodation, and at the same time, allow the guests to experience the unique history and culture of this city.By using simple materials, light tones, soft lighting, and carefully selected artwork, the space displays a sense of both history and contemporary.

Feng and Chen Partners Design Shanghai was founded in 2001 in Shanghai by Guoqiang Feng and Yan Chen, and their design philosophy is "Do Not Overdo." Guoqiang Feng received his International Exclusive Master in Interior Design, granted by Politecnico di Milano. Yan Chen has received her Interior Design degree at the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, and was also an exchange artist at Cite Internationale Des Arts of Paris. They have cooperated on projects since 1993, and covering a wide range including Boutique Hotels, Restaurants, Private Residence, and more.
