Decaffeinator is a simple solution to problem of household urban waste, by storing coffee waste and reusing it to sustain the growth of a new plant. Three specifically designed layers serve unique purposes. One layer holds water, the second holds coffee grounds, and a third, perforated layer, holds the plant. Decaffeinator is made of Coffee Based 3D printing filament, further recycling coffee waste. Decaffeinator is a cradle-to-cradle solution to reduce environmental impact and support plant growth, in a way from which everyone can reduce their negative environmental impact.
This project was completed as an assignment for the Design Dynamics course at Ryerson University.
