Tokimeite brings Japanese dining to the heart of London’s Mayfair. Tokimeitē comprises three dining spaces, each featuring a distinctive design motif that imbues the interior with its own unique ambience: En (flame), Mizu (water) and Moku (wood). The bar provides a meeting place for diners as well as being a destination in its own right.
Born in Osaka, JAPAN in 1967. Since starting with a project in Hong Kong in 2001, he has successfully broadened his appeal to New York, London, Paris, Doha and other major cities. He has also enthusiastically been expanding his career as a designer displaying his talents across a wide variety of graphics and products. His works include Isetan Shinjuku Main Building-Remodeling Project ladies floors in 2013 and living and kids floors in 2015, which has received high praise. In 2013 his first monograph "GLAMOROUS PHILOSOPHY NO.1" was published by PARCO Publishing. He has been named to be a France goodwill ambassador 2015 for acknowledgment of his contribution to cultural exchange.
Tokimeitē brings contemporary Japanese dining to the heart of London’s Mayfair luxury retail quarter, featuring a modern interpretation of the classic authentic flavours of wa-shoku cuisine by sourcing the finest produce, including the awardwinning A5 grade Joshu wagyu beef from Gunma Prefecture. Created through a collaboration between world-renowned Michelin-starred Kyoto chef Yoshihiro Murata and acclaimed designer Yasumichi Morita, Tokimeitē is set over three levels, with each space characterised by a unique design aesthetic inspired by the traditions of Japanese crafts and festivals. Tokimeitē’s elegant yet informal environment invites guests to dine according to their mood or occasion, from a casual get-together with friends over drinks and sharing plates, to a private dinner with specially selected course dishes. An extensive range of premium sake, shochu and whiskies is also offered to complement the cuisine.
