The Magic Ship of the Orient Multimedia Videos

The work constructs a stage scene with Oriental cultural elements, combining Chinese folding fans, pipa and engines into a huge spacecraft. The video uses 3D animation, AIGC, and naked eye 3D technology to allow the audience to experience time travel, featuring landscapes, phoenixes, Chinese gardens, Shikumen and Shanghai. In the background of the fashion show, the designer used AI generated giant animations to echo more than 60 models, reflecting the design elements of the clothing. The work integrates virtual and real elements to complement the fashion show.

Wu Liang is one of most outstanding contributed Young Visual Arts Designers in Design Industry of Shanghai in recent years, meanwhile he is also an educational innovator in Fashion Design Industry which was ever evaluated by ECI Award. He is the Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, and Deputy Director of Visual Communication Design Department at College of Fashion and Design, Donghua University, with 25 teaching years of Visual Communication Design and 21 years of practical experiences in design industry. He was awarded as follows: MUSE Creative Award ‘Gold Award’, ECI Award, Marking Awards Innovation Award,5 "Shanghai Design 100+" awards, China Top 100 Young Designers,etc. He is one of the Directors of Chinese and Western Cultural Creativity Industry Promoting Association (Macao). He is also one of the Researchers at Japan’ s Dentsu Co. As a contributor of the society, he is one of the Co-curators of TEDx Countdown Earth Art Project China Station. He was the Visual Director of "Fashion From the Orient" during 2022 & 2023 The World Design Capital Conference (WDCC).He was the Visual Design Consultant for the 2017 BRICS Summit News Center. He ever participated The 2nd Shanghai Biennial of Asia Graphic Design in 2013. During the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, he was one of the Chief Designers of Official Work Clothing Graphics. He was also the graphic designer of Report on the Development of Shanghai Design Capital, UNESCO.

College of Fashion and Design of Donghua University is one of the earliest established universities in fashion disciplines in China. The college is composed of Department of Fashion Design and Engineering, Department of Fashion Art Design, Department of Visual Communication, Department of Environmental Design, Department of Product Design, Department of Acting, Sector of Art Theory, Sector of Fine Arts, Sector of Sino-Japanese Cooperation Project and the experimental centers. It has eight undergraduate majors, i.e., Fashion Design and Engineering, Fashion & Clothing Design, Digital Media Design, Visual Communication Design, Environmental Design, Product Design, Acting, Art and Technology. It has the "Fashion Design and Engineering" master and doctoral degrees and "Fashion Design and Innovation Project" cross-doctoral degrees, in which the "Fashion Design and Engineering" is listed as the national key discipline, national featured specialty, Shanghai key discipline and "211 Project" key construction disciplines of the Ministry of Education; it has three first-class disciplines of master degree in Design, Art Theory and Fine Arts, in which "Design" is listed as the key discipline in Shanghai, the first-class discipline in Shanghai and is one of the first 32 institutes that provide the professional master degree of "Art Design". It has key labs of the Ministry of Education in the "Modern Fashion Design & Technology." Currently,there are about 2,500 undergraduates, 550 postgraduates and PhD students as well as about 170 teaching staff.
