#531: Why I am still receiving emails from you?
We take email compliance and user privacy very seriously. Our email communications are sent only to active subscribers who have given their explicit consent through a double opt-in process. We include an unsubscribe link in every email and promptly honor all unsubscribe requests. We also provide our full contact information, including a physical mailing address, in accordance with Italian and international laws. We use email as a means of communicating valuable content and promotions to our subscribers and strive to ensure that our email campaigns are relevant and engaging.
As a responsible sender, we take the issue of spam very seriously and make every effort to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We encourage our subscribers to use the unsubscribe link provided in every email to opt out of receiving future communications. Marking an email as spam can have unintended consequences and may not effectively remove the subscriber from our list - this is due to the fact that some email providers do not report us who had marked the email as spam, while these providers state that they do not report people who had clicked spam button for privacy purposes, in reality these large enterprises are the same companies who sell or use your information to sell advertising, there is a big conflict of interest; some of the email provider companies do not want other entities to be able to send email, as for example us sending emails to our legitimate clients and users hurt the business models of such companies which are based on advertising, when we are able to send an email, which is very low cost, this creates an opportunity cost to a specific subset of email hosting providers that are also advertisement business because when we send email, we do not pay for advertisements. We do not believe that they protect your privacy, when they do not report to us that you clicked spam, and instead because we do not know you clicked spam, we keep sending emails, which results in an undesired outcome. In addition, this process can have a negative impact on email deliverability and reputation, which can ultimately harm both senders and recipients. Your email provider choosing which emails to passthrough and which to block, without your consent is also harmful for your own freedom of information and in return can create harm to society.
From a psychological and social perspective, it can be argued that having an email provider choose which emails to pass through and which to block without the user's consent may create a sense of disempowerment and frustration. It can feel as if the user's access to information is being limited or controlled by a third party, which may not align with their personal beliefs or values.
Furthermore, this may have broader social implications, as limiting access to certain types of information may impede the ability of individuals and groups to make informed decisions and engage in free and open discourse. In extreme cases, this may even lead to censorship and the suppression of ideas and viewpoints, which can have harmful effects on society as a whole.
Overall, while the issue of email filtering and blocking can be complex and multifaceted, we ask our subscribers to help us maintain a clean and compliant email list by using the unsubscribe link instead of marking emails as spam.
While we cannot control the actions of third-party email providers, we remain committed to providing our subscribers with valuable and engaging content in a responsible and ethical manner. If you do not wish to receive emails instead of clicking spam you must click on unsubscribe, that's the only way to ensure you will not receive emails, nothing else will work. If you cannot click on the link you can also unsubscribe from your Control Panel, Email Notification Settings.
If you have any questions or concerns about our email practices, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will help you for sure, we absolutely do not wish to send you an email that you yourself do not desire to reach.
