#362: I designed the product for a company and the first question is about the use of its logo. Do you need any special document from the company to upload the logo in the entry form? Or could be a document for my use of it?
You do not need to upload certificate or usage grant from the company, but we ask this to ensure you have the permissions to use the logo just in case. So it could be any document including but not limited to agreements or emails from company representatives that allow you to use the logo for award winning work or design award entry. If the company permits you to use the logo, you can use their logo, you need to have permission from the company. Otherwise if the company does not permit you to use their logo, you can use your own design studio logo and replace client details with that of your design studio. It is better to use company details if they permit you. Permission could be explicit or if you have already indicated in your contract, it could be implicit. In any case, it is better to ask to the companies whether you could use their logo as a part of a project that wins design award.
