Diseño Neko is an award winning interdisciplinary company specialising in Industrial Design, Architecture and Urban furniture, founded in Mexico City in 2005 by four partners.

Great design is at the core of everything Neko undertakes and the company has over 8 years of experience working with clients to find the right design solution for their project. The team's expertise has allowed them to work with clients on projects as diverse as the architectural design of the Culiacan Agriculture Museum; signage for Chapultepec Park; and product design exclusively for the Mexican Gallery of Design. In addition to being featured in Architectural and Design publications worldwide, Neko's work has won several international awards and been exhibited in many events, including: Destination Mexico at MoMA in New York and Tokyo; Street Seats at Design Museum Boston; Fabrica Mexicana at the Modern Art Museum of Mexico City; and the Iberoamerican Design Biennial in Madrid. Neko believes in the dignification of public spaces and that well-designed urban areas make for happier citizens. Since the company's beginnings in 2005 their experience has led them to urban furniture design, a field where their design and architecture expertise really come together. As designers and architects, the team at Neko understand the need for beautifully designed products to complement an urban project; that is where Neko urban furniture really stands out from the rest. The design and manufacturing teams work closely to ensure well-made quality products at the right price. Central to the business is a focus on good, honest Mexican manufacturing and great design which will enhance each project for years to come. Furniture from the Neko line can be seen installed in public spaces throughout Mexico, including the historic centres of Mexico City, Chihuahua and Oaxaca. Neko is widely recognised as a leader in the field of eco-design in Mexico and they view this as a necessary and integral part of the future of design, not a ‘fad’ or ‘trend’. Eco-design strategies are followed for every product and project, ensuring minimum negative impact on the environment. These include use of recycled and recyclable materials, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, FSC certified wood, a zero-PVC policy for all products, and designs which minimise waste.
