It requires a unique design concept, an otherworldly presentation, and positive feedback from users. FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations? DL: In life, in conversation, in introspection, in books. There are many ways to get inspiration, but it's all about the heart FS: What is your "golden rule" in design? DL: 1. Innovation 2. Uniqueness 3. Mass manufacturing 4. Low cost 5. Simple aesthetics 6. Ease of Use The above is in no particular order FS: What skills are most important for a designer? DL: First of all, I think the basic professional skills of designers are essential. Need to have a very good aesthetic background, long-term dedication to the design work. Secondly, good communication skills and learning to listen to the ideas of users or customers. This is very important, many times the user's expression and the actual idea is very different, which needs to be your heart to feel. Finally, we must learn to create a source of inspiration, so that we can get the power of design from life. FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end? DL: Mainly look at the category of products. As short as a few months, as long as 1-2 years. FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why? DL: I have a wide range of interests and have designed many types of products in my previous experience. I enjoy challenging projects most and find joy in designing and solving problems.
