Interview with Mitra Mohebbi at Thursday 19th of May 2022

FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
MM: I have been passionate about drawing, painting and music since I was a child, so I took art classes and always had a great desire to learn. I continued this path until I was able to become a first level instructor of a technical and professional organization in the field of design and painting in Iran and I have ten years of teaching experience. Also, in the field of music, I am an Iranian setar player. Art is the flow of life for me An artist has a strong and aesthetic vision because he looks at the world around him with finesse and detail; the world is an open book for the artist; the artist has a gentle and calm spirit, because the miracle of art penetrates his heart and makes him a better human being. It has been a year since I started to design in the field of industrial design and architecture, and in this short opportunity I was able to win two prestigious international competitions, as well as a top design nominee from Germany and Canada, and a green design nominee from Berlin, Germany. And finalist for the best architectural design. Teamwork is always a priority for me; teamwork is energizing; it feels great when people with different tastes try to achieve group goals and celebrate their success together

MM: If it's good, I'm wondering why this idea did not cross my mind It's a great idea, well done to them If it is bad, I will try to correct it in my mind.

MM: I took ideation classes a year ago; our teacher asked us to draw an idea on paper using the techniques we learned in class; anyone could come up with an idea in any field, I chose the furniture category And quite by chance I remembered a creature in nature called a woodlouse; I felt that a woodlouse, despite its appearance, could be a beautiful and comfortable piece of furniture, and then I started sketching. When I showed the design to my teacher, my teacher said it had the potential to win several international awards I also participated in a design competition for the first time and fortunately I succeeded.
