Interview with Jin Jeon at Sunday 9th of August 2020 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? JJ: Born and raised in South Korea, but all of sudden in my mid-20s I made a decision to study abroad in United States of America. As learning and taking any kinds of design courses as much as possible from School of Visual Arts(BFA), I finally found my dream major, motion graphic design which gives me a lot of interests, pleasures and motivations. I firmly believe what animating some static images or graphics always make more dynamic, powerful, and persuasive visual messages. FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? JJ: Jin loves playing around various graphic design and mainly animation projects by finding genuine meanings beyond the beauty of art piece. FS: What is "design" for you? JJ: Infinite visual expression tool to present our philosophy. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? JJ: My most interest is motion graphics, especially 3D work. FS: What makes a design successful? JJ: Conceptualizing step is the most fundamental and important key to make any kinds of design valuable. FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design? JJ: As for my design taste or style like how to express a piece of art work, since I like mathematics at the same time, chances are my design often combines with architectural or engineered esthetic, also well-presented in the "Alignment to Air" work here. FS: What skills are most important for a designer? JJ: communication and insight for whatever any projects deeply stand for FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.? JJ: Maxon Cinema 4D: 3D Software Octane: Render Plugin Adobe Creative Cloud(After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition): Retouch and Composite Tool FS: How can people contact you?
