Have you always wanted to be a designer? JL: Graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and received a sound art education at the university. When I was in high school, I saw the design of Tadao Ando in the magazine. I was influenced by him and I wanted to be a designer. FS: What makes a design successful? JL: Interest makes design successful. FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design? JL: Design will be getting harder and harder. Designing the future lies in constant challenges. FS: How do you work with companies? JL: Most of them are contacted by the company and we have a unified design contract and design rules. FS: Can you describe a day in your life? JL: Get up at 5 o'clock and go to bed at 11 o'clock. FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
