Have you always wanted to be a designer? LL: In the creation of space, we should find the essence of design value and integrate our own unique views and opinions on aesthetics.Creation can leave a mark, hoping to leave a mark of existence in the limited life, and bring a better possibility for the society. FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? LL: As Zoom Interior Design Studio was founded in 2014, it has been one of the rising star practices in Taiwan’s design community, where space definition is a key feature in its design doctrine, it puts premium on communicating and understanding the needs of clients, before translating those needs to features and details imbued in the designed spaces. Our company serves four categories: commercial space, residential space, office space and exhibition space, contracting design and engineering, and I am responsible for the control of the overall company's operation. FS: What is "design" for you? LL: For me, design represents the value of itself and can create better possibilities. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? LL: In the presentation of style, I like simple laying, in the presentation of materials, in the stacking of layers, in the presentation of colors, like strong contrast, in the presentation of lines, like delicate division. FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it? LL: I like Japanese design best because it can let people settle down and appreciate pure beauty at the same time.
