FS: When do you feel the most creative?
AC: Lying in bed contemplating..
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
AC: Problem solving, understanding properties of materials and techniques used
FS: What makes a design successful?
AC: A design succeeds if it intrigues our understanding of form and materiality, in ways that are least expected, through the combination of detailing and minimizing excess.
FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
AC: From simple observations, music and mostly intuition. Know my competition helps too.
FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
AC: Be a good observer, it is usually the smallest things that makes a difference. Nature is our best teacher.
FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
AC: Flexibility, adaptability, knowledge grounded with strong technical understanding of build and materials. Breaking rules, trying the impossible sometimes
