Interview with Julia Chernenko (Leta Che) at Monday 23rd of April 2018 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? JCC: I`m a Russian designer interested in projects and collaborations in branding, packaging and advertising concepting. 2016 was my first year when I became interested in advertising concepting and now I am in 15th place in the ranking of the most creative young professionals in the country. I have 6 years hight education in Communication Design in the State Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design and 5 years experience in agencies. Recently work as a Lead Creative Designer in the famous Russian cosmetic company Rive Gauche in Saint Petersburg. FS: What is "design" for you? JCC: Design is my lifestyle FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? JCC: Interested in projects and collaborations in: branding, packaging, advertising concepting and integration communications. FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? JCC: I like all the field of communication design FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? JCC: I feel self-realization FS: What makes a design successful? JCC: Success is in the selling. And to sell, you need a good design. FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations? JCC: I like to connect non-connected and add new things to the ordinary. FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country? JCC: I live in a rainy city, where the sun is rare, but I was born in the South. I love bright and Sunny design. FS: How do you work with companies? JCC: Full time or freelance FS: What is your "golden rule" in design? JCC: ideas will save the world FS: What skills are most important for a designer? JCC: His brain FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.? JCC: Adobe FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why? JCC: Work in which you can come up with everything FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you? JCC: I would like to find a job abroad or move to Moscow FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself? JCC: All by myself FS: How can people contact you?
