Interview with Tsai Chin Ming at Wednesday 12th of December 2018 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? TCM: Design has always been my favorite job. Although I have never studied abroad, I can always accumulate a lot of design inspiration through my annual experience of traveling abroad.Designers have always been the only job I know, and I really don't want to do anything else besides it FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? TCM: This is a company that has been operating for more than 20 years, and it also has more than 20 years of regular customers,This is a company that has been operating for more than 20 years and has over 20 years of old customers. It is really a great honor for us to serve as a customer for such a long time FS: What is "design" for you? TCM: Design gives me pleasure and satisfaction, especially when it comes to compliments from customers FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? TCM: I like design as long as it has soul and life, especially large design works FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it? TCM: Large architectural design is my favorite, it is as strong and delicate as some sense, impact and peace FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology? TCM: Natural and environment-friendly building materials have always been my favorite materials. Want to make a contribution to environmental protection FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? TCM: I think customer communication is the most important. Because design is human, not tough to let customers to accept FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? TCM: In the process of design, I am always excited, because I have to overthrow my own design all the time to find the most suitable design FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized? TCM: When I finished a piece of work, I was very moved, because just like watching a child grow up, every step can cause ripples FS: What makes a design successful? TCM: Customer satisfaction is the success of the design FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design? TCM: There is no standard design style, because to be able to create new trends in order to go ahead in design FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country? TCM: Growing up in Taiwan, design is not the only choice for customers, the cost is the consideration of customers, sometimes it is a great challenge, which will limit the creation of design FS: What skills are most important for a designer? TCM: Creativity, eloquence and communication ability are the conditions that designers should have FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end? TCM: It takes about three to six months FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer? TCM: How much does this design cost FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself? TCM: The team cooperation FS: How can people contact you?
