Interview with Mojtaba Hosseini at Wednesday 26th of April 2017 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? MH: Actually I studied Computer Software. But because of my interest in problem solving and designing new products, I changed my way and tended to the 3D graphic design. So I tried to learn by myself through the internet, online courses and books. After mastering in 3D graphic design, I brings my new products to life and implements my ideas. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? MH: I love product designing, accessories and sometimes everything! I look at everyday challenges and try to find simple and achievable solutions for them. FS: When do you feel the most creative? MH: When I solve a problem in designing process. FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? MH: "Having new idea" and "Problem solving" FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? MH: Passion. FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized? MH: Honor. FS: What makes a design successful? MH: First of all the “Idea”. A good idea is a key to a successful design. FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first? MH: "Having new idea" and "Problem solving" FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design? MH: “Design” is the endless path and certainly will progress many more! FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations? MH: Mostly from my environment and internet. FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers? MH: I can’t say anything else than what everyone knows already, Passion, Hard work, Patience. FS: What is your "golden rule" in design? MH: Never give up! FS: What skills are most important for a designer? MH: Visual knowledge and Practicing! FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.? MH: Maya, 3Ds Max, Mudbox, Keyshot, HDR light studio, Vray, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign. Also I use internet as source of inspiration. FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end? MH: It depends on the project, three days to several month. FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why? MH: I enjoy product designing, because I think creating a new product that makes people's life easier is very exciting. FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you? MH: I want to expand my skills and make progress in my career. FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself? MH: I develop my designs myself, But I also love team working. FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about? MH: I am working on some projects right now, but unfortunately I can't talk about them at this stage! FS: How can people contact you? MH: Via Email! FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
