FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
HJ: Hyunje Joo_Baukunst based on it’s wide architectural spectrum in Europe and Asia.
FS: What is "design" for you?
HJ: Design is design is not design.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
HJ: Very simple design with urban context.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
HJ: My initial design is traditional tee museum architecture design.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
HJ: I use transparent materials. Study the boundaries of space through this material.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
HJ: Anytime.
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
HJ: I think, the form has to do with the context of the city.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
HJ: When I design, I imagine the finished form.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
HJ: I am very happy.
FS: What makes a design successful?
HJ: Planning step to develop.
FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
HJ: A recent exhibition was held in Nuremberg, Germany.
FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
HJ: I came to Germany from Korea in 2012, where he studied architecture at Kunstakademie Duesseldorf in Germany receiving a Master of Architecture in 2017.
FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
HJ: I want to continue my design.
FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
HJ: All designs are made directly, and production is done with partner.
