Interview with Delution Architect at Friday 10th of July 2015 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? DA: I do want to become a designer or architect since on the bench as high school for i made a work design is a delight, but with a record of design they have a story that can be proud of to the occupant.To a style of design just focus on in style of modern contemporer by the application of 3 aspect that i think there must always be: - First on the identity of or philosophical design where to always represent the owner - The latter must be green design have an element where you saving more energy everything - The last fit to a budget where design that i sell not very imaginatively empty but can be realized FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? DA: My company’s standing at the end of 2013, i set up along with 2 company partners my first move in the field of planning and construction, but outside of the various references to design, architecture and art, far behind that we actually want to have a firm based corporations, where having a system of management that is strong but still can optimize seninya side. FS: What is "design" for you? DA: Design according to me the other solutions to the needs of a person or problem. Design could arise because to present the needs and a subject need solutions. For me the more the needs and the problems to the more presents a variety of ideas design new and exciting and innovative. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? DA: Office project BBDO is one that i like, but besides the interior design project i prefer architecture projects where the process of development and detailing very pleasant. When completed every person passing through the building can enjoy the results of my work. FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it? DA: The design of the split house that we design in Tebet , South Jakarta , indonesia.The house is located in the land it needs a very narrow special innovative idea for the accommodation needs klient can do that many and varied. FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company? DA: Before i built this company already been producing a project when work as a freelance, these projects include the residence, apartment, and the interior of the mosque. FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology? DA: I really liked the exploration of the material from wood , iron and some material the clean white ones.For the technology, i am very fond of laser cutting that can create any pattern. FS: When do you feel the most creative? DA: Experience and learning when doing a design project split the house, problems and restrictions make us more creative and thinking more positive. FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? DA: Every design that i ended up coming with should have the character of the owner, or have a story that can be represented the owners or function building.After that i always implement green design, where a piece of work that energy efficiency and of my designs should be able to be realized with a budget which is owned by klient me. FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? DA: Feeling a happiness whilst inventing unique solution of an issue and can fulfill a need klient. FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized? DA: Feeling more happy again when they see similar realized work as has been planned and not miss from the path worthy of the process. FS: What makes a design successful? DA: Having the character strong design, functional, efficient in energy and maintenance as well as aesthetically interesting so the viewer attention. FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first? DA: Detail about every project , i am one who believes the tagline of good is in the detail , where detail is everything, many designers or architect able to offer a good concept, but when the detailing weak and satisfaction will be no value. FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment? DA: Of course we should have made a contribution to the environment, the minimum of the project to create an environment be more beautiful, even more to the work that can be a landmark, which attracted many tourists to our country. FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design? DA: According to my design is a field without a boundary that will continue to evolve, sure with the development of times and technology, various types of design too can evolve into better than before.The design will be more required when any person had received the aspect of primary and secondary and logically when everyone or more advanced countrie , it will be the more parties start thinking about the aspect of tertiary that design. FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition? DA: I never give exhibitions my own, due to the age of my company who are still too young. FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations? DA: Inspiration and ideas come what happened to and anytime, when i drive, i was in a bed or a toilet , ideas could come.Usually an idea come from things that i see on the road or book , literature and magazine design. FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design? DA: I always design klient who i can give a sense, if asked one of my designs is a symbol that described “branding character” implemented in contemporary style. FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country? DA: Indonesia, things really affect my designs are tropical climates, is different from the west.While designing too complicated, tropical climate may make it difficult in the intricate maintenance. FS: How do you work with companies? DA: As company owner, of course this company i consider as own child. FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer? DA: Of course having the style of taste and design similar to that company owner and do not forget the aspect of soft pay attention to skill also it will affect how fast developing designer . FS: Can you talk a little about your design process? DA: Before designing I will certainly filter out the data that much of my klient about what they need and want, I told them, after that I dreamed of finding the right idea or inspiration to accommodate the klient. FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home? DA: Fasade building, the integration of the building and plants, the toilet, the main living room and households. FS: Can you describe a day in your life? DA: Every day i have been really fun because what i was doing when it ' s a pleasure for me therefore, no tired feelings and become a burden. FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers? DA: I was 24 years old own this time, so that counted young at my country, the main tips is be brave, just do it, and be detailed. FS: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer? DA: Having good taste is positive in every day life, the negative side where sometimes in doing a work like to forget the time and displaced some other thing . FS: What is your "golden rule" in design? DA: Functional, aesthetically, and projected in the budget. FS: What skills are most important for a designer? DA: The ability to fantasize and a good imagination and the ability of technical detail to make the realization. FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.? DA: Software, books, papers and a pen for sketches. FS: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time? DA: A long in the process of designing the idea is to look for , if the idea has been met , the process of implementation are the things that are easy and fast. Then it was process of locating the idea always i put them together in all my activities, good while driving, walking, in the toilet, even when at bedtime. FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end? DA: Depends objectnya and how broad the area that is designed. In the fields of architecture to project a dwelling house usually 2-4 weeks. FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer? DA: Whether of my designs this could really would have realized ? FS: What was your most important job experience? DA: As an architect of experience in the field and construction of the world become one thing very important project, because if that good technical detail and the project is also good. FS: Who are some of your clients? DA: From a variety of the environment began from a friend, the family, even new people who meet by itself . FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why? DA: A design 's not too much , but it was very accurate answer the needs and the existing problems and having value aesthetically interesting . FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you? DA: Next i want to be pioneer company in the field of building in my country. I do not just want to become a designer for others , but also to ourselves and for my state. FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself? DA: As a team is certain, but im always give a final touch before it presented to client FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
