FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
XF: I want to become a designer since I was a child because my families are creative and good at handcraft. I always be inspired and encouraged by them to take challenges and do creative work
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
XF: Founded in 2018, MATTENAI is a brand about high-quality lifestyle. Our vision is to promote the value of a balanced life by producing affordable products with good design.
FS: What is "design" for you?
XF: Design is a media that solves problem, share vision, expresses culture and work for a better life.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
XF: Unplugged products
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
XF: A jewellery set
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
XF: Sustainable material
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
XF: Praying and taking shower(be relax Ed)
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
XF: Analysing users’ needs and deeply thinking about the purpose of design.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
XF: Exited and enjoyable

XF: Relaxed
FS: What makes a design successful?
XF: Perfectly solve problems and promote the development of industry in an innovated way.
FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
XF: Solving problems and meeting users' needs in a completed design system
FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
XF: Do not waste social resources or nature resources.
FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
XF: Be humble, be honest, be empathetic and be responsible.
FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
XF: Observing, analysing and asking good questions.
