FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
F: Realizing that architecture is a branch of art and action in space, FAHR 021.3 develops its work based on the architectural language and methodology, while always incorporating seemingly implausible spaces and challenging materials.

FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
F: FAHR 021.3 is a combination of people, perspectives, challenges, methodologies, arts and concepts which arise from the vision of two talented architects who believe that there is more to the art that they learned than meets the eye. They invested everything on the development of a new approach: communicative architecture. Surprising in shape, concept and content through a new perspective of communication is what this company promises its customers.

F: The result is provocative and unexpected and comes in a variety of forms, including installations, site-specific art, performances, and actions.

F: We are a Porto - Portugal based company. In fact it has been very important in maintaining our structure in Portugal, against the tendency to migrate to other parts of the world. In a situation of economic crisis as strong as we live in Portugal creativity becomes essential to create new ideas, visions and ways to adapt.

FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
F: Our work process starts always generating some discomfort in the idea that we have, so this way we can discover new paths.
