FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
NC: Narumi Corporation is the one of the leading manufacturers of fine quality tableware in Japan. More than 20 of inhouse designers for both shape and pattern designs create the new designs of bone china and porcelain tabelware, glassware and accessories for tabletop.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
NC: Established in 1946, Narumi Corporation has been engaged in manufacturing ceramics. In 1965, Narumi successfully developed Narumi Bone China, firstly manufacturing in Japan. Based on this development, a number of new products which supported the basis of Narumi have been created until today.
FS: What is "design" for you?
NC: Creation for life.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
NC: Bone China Tabelware, Porcelain Tableware, Glassware
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
NC: Milano developed in 1972, Styles developed in 2002
