| DESIGN NAME: Lypky PRIMARY FUNCTION: Penthouse INSPIRATION: The aim of the project was to create an interior design for the Penthouse in a new multi-apartment complex. The space of two apartments on two floors was used to form one-piece residential premises. The hall with two tiers of windows is a compositional center of the apartment, leading to the living room with panoramic windows. The stylistic decisions were based on free interpretation of classic interior design techniques within non-classical layout. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Team aimed to create space divided into common access areas (like hall, living area, kitchen, home cinema) and secluded area where one can have privacy and relax. Therefor a need to join second level of the apartment had place, to organize the living area for the masters there. It led to some technical complexities that required additional engineering calculations, as a result it was possible to create atrium space and shaped the appearance of the Penthouse. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Only natural materials of soft tints and textures were used for the interior design. The marble of several colors with radial pattern played an important role in uniting the space of the first floor and designated the compositional axis of the entire penthouse. Crystal cascading chandelier along with vertical onyx inserts were used as the decorative accents which united the space of the atrium. The American walnut parquet coupled with the silk carpets was a great combination to bring comfort to the living area.
