| DESIGN NAME: Folded 01 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dinning Chair INSPIRATION: The idea started while playing with a post-it note used to right down ideas. By folding the square sheet a rigid shape arises. This technique was used to construct a chair. The folded chair consists out of a raw aluminum sheet bend by hand and mounted on a colored steel frame. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Folded 01 is the latest design by Erno Dierckx.By experimenting with production methods a dinningchair was born. Erno Dierckx tries to challenge the way excitingchairs are constructed and goes back to the essence of the product. The object has a minimalistic yet sophisticated look. The chair consists out of honestand durable materials with a subtle color detail. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Folded 01 is a dinning chair made out of a single sheet raw aluminum. The folding technique gives the chair the needed comfort and has a natural bending effect PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started Februari 2018 in Antwerp Belgium and finished november 2019. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The chair consist out of a hand bended aluminum sheet. The raw material is combined with a coloured steel frame.
