DESIGN NAME: Heart By Tree
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Villa House
INSPIRATION: The villa is built for summer weather throughout the year, situated in the humidity of a tropical forest. And hence, the designer is hopeful that the use of plants and ponds will bring in a harmonious blend of temperature, in and around the villa, to substantiate the serenity amidst the hustle and bustle. The layout and design of the villa also provides protection against the wildlife intrusion into the compound. The inception of the villa concept and its design, begins from the courtyard house concept, a unique Chinese architecture characteristic dated back two thousand years ago. The inspiration of the design is the modernization and innovation of traditional Chinese culture, and ultimately to create a cosy environment that brings families together.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The villa is formed by four blocks of building, surrounding a courtyard. The designer uses lawn or meadow, and willow plant as the roof for the bedrooms, which allows better heat insulation. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We complete the Heart by Tree to minimize construction costs and protect the environment. Due to the hot climate in Malaysia, we use zinc and fiber as the chassis of the lawn roof. In the decoration section, we look for some materials that have been abandoned by the factory, such as ceramic tiles, granite and glass.
