| DESIGN NAME: Life Disappears PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pencil Sharpener INSPIRATION: During the use of a pencil sharpener, the generation of crumbs can feel redundant.in the process of people interacting with the product, not only can they give a new mission to pencil shavings, but also let people realize that the "life" of pencils is like disappearing with the completion of the time progress bar. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designer designed the way of the pencil sharpener as a circular closed-loop time progress bar. Insert the pencil and rotate it gently. The discarded scraps are loading like a progress bar. When the progress bar rotates 360 °, it also means that the pencil is 100% sharpened. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Give pencil shavings a new meaning when sharpening. The designer started the design from the sharpening behavior, and set the exit and path of the pencil sharpener on the product semantics. As the progress of the pencil shavings gradually loaded, the pencil gradually sharpened in proportion. When using a pencil sharpener, you can feel the life of a pencil disappearing at the same time. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in Shunde in May 2019 and was completed in Shunde in August 2019. |
