DESIGN NAME: Art of Vandalism?
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition Branding
INSPIRATION: The logo contrasts with diametrically opposed styles: the linear font reminiscent of the cleanliness and legality of art galleries against the pure and iconic "tag" style of the street, the scapegoat of those who consider street art as vandalism. The red spray touch was used to reinforce the message and to add a strong color note to the logo.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The logo intent is to synthesize a provocative question: when is "street art" art? When is it vandalism? Who decides that? The exhibition included the works of various Italian street artists and took place in a bunker of the Second World War. Hosted by Segmenti Urbani cultural Association.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Type of Research: mainly focalized to understand the market setting in the street-art exhibition field.
Research Objectives: finding an original and effective look.
Methodology: the research process took about 1 day, and was made mostly using internet search engines.
Partecipants: there was no other partecipants except the designer.
Results: thanks to the research process we understand the need of a unique brand design, a mix between diametrically opposed styles.
CHALLENGE: The main issue to creating the logo was finding the right font for the word "vandalism?". The challenge was to find a font that effectively communicated the subversive character of "street art" but which was also graphically well balanced.
