DESIGN NAME: Shell 2030
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Transportation Mean
INSPIRATION: The development of the future is among us. Every idea of us today, can be a life changing experience for others - tomorrow.
That thought is always in my mind. I wanted to create a new type of vehicle which will fit the needs of the people. Without leaving footprints on the planet, and use electric energy and small place as possible on the road. Also developed to be an high value safety transportation. Trying to fit car and bike advantages in one tool.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Shell 2030, is an autonomous three-wheel transportation mean, designed for the year 2030. The vehicle can transport up to two people at a time, and designed to be a small type of a city vehicle. It uses a new and innovational way to maneuver with a V shaped triangular axle, and it is a new type of transportation mean, by it's dimenssions and properties. Beyond being an hi-tech transportation mean, it is meant to give the traveler a new experience of traveling, with its unique design, sitting posittion, way of manouvering and fully exposed panoramic view. This Honda Shell, also designed to be a short range car-sharing Vehicle, in a new realitu of a friendly sustainable mobility.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: An easy to drive, three wheel transportation mean, that was designed for the year 2030 and above, and supposed to give the rider a different fresh feeling of traveling.
The goal in this product is to give people an all new type of transportation mean, which allows them to have a small vehicle for the city(almost like a motorcycle), and gives a different new type of feeling while driving. e the desired quality of this transportation mean (tilting axle) is good and serves the goal of emotional driving, but also makes turning much more efficient in the technical perspective. The Wheels are a small computers which operated mainly from the grip pads on top of them, and alerting the sensors about the road type and driving style is suggested to the driver. the weight is mostly located in the bottom of the chassis *under the driver, which creates an efficiency in the stability of this type of car. need to be operate as a car sharing program or as an individual transportation.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in June 2019 in Torino and finished at September in the same place. This project won in my university's contest for representing the university (IAAD Torino) at a international Automotive desidn contest in Le Mans, France

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When i started this project i realized that i need to have good questions to answer. In order to invent something new in such a invitational genre, there is a research needs to be done. the research was based on any material from any association related with future transportation and developments from this type of field.
After i realized the market, the infrastructures, and the tech that will be exists in 2030 - i had to study about other light materials, for a new type of chassis and develop the engineering structure of this vehicle. During this process i gained a lot of important knowledge, but still tried not to fell in-love with technical specs in order to create an ideal design for this whole package, which was a challenge by itself.
CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this design process was to create a new un-existing transportation mean, without compromising on any other aspect; Another big challenge was to design this package of ideas in an attractive and logical way - since i never learned engineering in a proper way, i had to study about that through this project.
