DESIGN NAME: A la Blanc
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Interior Design
INSPIRATION: The apartment owner asked for not ostentatious, neither minimalist interior design; thus, this project aims to a controlled balance between decorative and over-designed.
Take the advantage of high ceiling plan, the interior space is airy and calm. To deeper spacious sensation, mirror leads to endless illusion, while marble veins gently permeate on walls.
The flawless serenity can only be traced from whitish undertones.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The visual attractions came from eclectic contrasts between texture colors and whitish backdrops. The brass pendent contrasts to indigo streamlined sofa; whereas, the copper skirting completes slate-blue kitchenette cabinets. Besides the complementary color scheme, metallic lusts coordinate with decoration colors, delineating eclectic aesthetics.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Upstairs, the airy, light-filled, master bedroom seeks for a poised lifestyle: metallic details give contemporary touches to interior decorations, blending a literary atmosphere with the co-existence of greens outdoors. Move to the other room, though in deep backdrops, the interior space is alight with light through venetian blinds. Colors and knickknacks create playful ambiances, which even vividly enhance via mirror reflection.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started from October 2018 and finished in February 2019.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: To echo marble vein lines, shimmering grey elements were added into the lower TV niche design. Bending titanium-metal plates and combining them irregularly to play forms with polyline. The tall bookshelves alongside is composed of the same polyline-structured. Once diffused glows refract from porcelain-tile flooring, the lower niche convey a calm and composed statement.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Beside complimentary color scheme, went over blue monochrome palette and study color combination matching with blue: royal blue goes well with mustard yellow, and to customize a new purplish blue to coordinate metallic copper colors on kitchenette skirting.
CHALLENGE: The staircase handrail was an eyesore from basement to the kitchen area. To avoid this visual nuisance, we installed a tall storage cabinet beneath white fluted doors, not only to comply with master-plan's color scheme, but also to make sure all linear arrangements are clean and orderly designed.
