| DESIGN NAME: Run Science Park PRIMARY FUNCTION: Guangzhou INSPIRATION: To differentiate from traditional industrial parks with low connectivity and to fulfill future requirements Run Science Park will have three distinctive functions, space for various exhibitions, office, and flexible usages. Through the reinterpretation of traditional industrial parks, the open working space, informal conference area and internal facilities together create a sharing community with multi functionality and high connectivity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Open to a multi-functional platform for communication and sharing, Run Science Park acts as a complex of office, intelligence design, as well as work and life balance. A platform for sharing, technology information exchange, flowing of ideas on creativity and ecology helps to demonstrate the verticality and focus of the cities.And the design created an unique form with unique characteristics such as lifting structure off the ground, interlocking and shifting forms. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To satisfy various uses in the future, the design allocated 75 percent of the area for office, 5 percent flexible space, 5 percent exhibition space, 15 percent complex space. And another consideration of the project was its relationship with the city and the industrial complex.The sunken plaza provides spatial experience on various levels so that the sufficient amount of sunlight can reach underground. The building facade reflects one of key design ideas, the combination of technology and ecosystem. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials: glass, aluminum panel, paint. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project Area 120000 square meters TAGS: connectivity, sharing, technology, sentiment, openness, ecosystem, smart, experience RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Run Science Park utilized surrounding industrial resources and infrastructures of Guangzhou Science City to establish the China Resources Land Industrial Cluster. Dedicated to technical development in the field of internet industry, animation industry, and smart architecture the park encourages co working in enterprise, production, research and development to obtain results. Under the concept of combination of nature ecosystem and scientific development, green smart architecture is established . CHALLENGE: There were several challenges throughout the project, to establish versatile office area, to add vitality to public spaces in the industrial park, to create ecosystem, to make a sharing open and semi-open space.
