| DESIGN NAME: Dongya PRIMARY FUNCTION: Model House INSPIRATION: Project Dongya meaning eastern charm, it locates at China’s ancient capital, Zhengzhou, as well as inspired by its rich historical background. Zhengzhou has over 2000 years of history, the very first dynasty Xia is established under its watch. Unfortunately, as time moves forward, Zhengzhou gradually fades out of sight. The designer team decides to bring back eastern charm by creating a calm, culture-infused living environment associated with city Zhengzhou. A booming city is soon to come. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by ancient Chinese living principle, harmony of Yin and Yang, designer team emphasis on recreating the natural calming environment in a modern urban setting, which makes the balance unique. Ranging from color choice to material selection, each one of placement is carefully decided as a natural element completing visual unity. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2018 and finished in August 2018 in Zhengzhou,China.
