DESIGN NAME: BuiltForImpact
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Website
INSPIRATION: The design is a product of our studies into many leading designers, marketers, business minds, and emerging user behavior patterns. We took our research and distilled it into a single website structure. We learned that telling a narrative - touching on key points in a particular order while letting the design express that narrative- was the most effective way to make visitors feel understood and confident enough to enroll. That became the "BuiltForImpact system", expressed in detail here.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The BuiltForImpact website presents a unique method of building websites for cause-driven companies that helps them stand out and increases sales using our Mission Narrative system. It is designed for visually immersive scrolling, mimicking social media behavior patterns, rather than a traditional website structure. It's described by clients as being like having a "siren-call" that grows their business by getting into the hearts of their visitors so that they'll keep coming back for more.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design is intended to be used in the same way as users interact with major social media channels. People scroll when they're curious, and click only when sufficiently compelled to. As such, the design encourages users to scroll through a narrative, with the design bringing that story to life. Click interactions are only required if someone would like to dive into a different body of information, such as an offer or to view more information about a tangential topic, just like on social media.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The BuiltForImpact project started in 2017, however, this website design was born early 2019. Our team is distributed across the globe, with contributions to this design coming from Bulgaria, Croatia, Canada, England, Slovakia, and the United States.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The site is built using a combination of WordPress and a proprietary series of themes and plugins that enable is to create a load-balanced composition of lazy-loaded graphics and video assets across multiple screen sizes while maintaining prompt load times. The design is challenged by saying, "Look at this!" rather than, "Look at me!" in its execution, making the narrative the focus. Design is produced across graphic, web, and video software tools.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The design is a responsive website, which follows the best practice for responsive web design. Dimensions change for different screen sizes.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Our research was performed through books, courses, and direct phone calls with leading design, business, and marketing minds, with the goal of organizing and distilling the very best approach to cause-driven communication online. By using direct calls and curriculums with minds such as Jay Abraham, Seth Godin, Frank Kern, Chet Holmes, Dan Lok, Gary Vaynerchuk, we were able to design a single, coherent website blueprint that converts very well for companies with a cause.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging part never ends. Our continued discipline to making sure the "BuiltForImpact system" is a representation of the best in the world at helping companies with a cause stand out, sell better, and make more impact. Psychology rarely changes, but the culture does, so our design must remain at the intersection of human psychology and the culture of prevailing web platforms such as leading social media channels.
