DESIGN NAME: Vivika
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bench
INSPIRATION: The bench was inspired by the sinuous lines of brazilian architecture from the 1960s, which remained an emblematic moment in our aesthetic history to this day. Oscar Niemeyer, arguably one of the world's most famous brazilian architect, always created structures based on curves. Some of his magnificent buildings seemed to float above the ground, while sustaining an elegant
silhouette.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Vivika bench is made entirely from wood with an extremely lightweight design. It is possible to remove the cushions by removing the weight with the metal underneath bench, giving the piece versatility. The metal used has a special hue due to the termofrequency treatment given to it.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The bench comes not only as a seating solution but also as an element that transforms the environment it is set it. With a lightweight design, there are numerous possibilities for use and disposition, while also serving as a reference in any ambience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2018 in São Paulo and finished in March 2019 also in São Paulo.
