DESIGN NAME: Axis Stool
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Stool
INSPIRATION: We wanted to use the latest machining technology and the intricate craftsmanship that the Japanese are known for to create the most minimalist stool possible. We also wanted to reduce shipping costs by creating a stool that the user can assemble on their own.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: An elegantly minimalist stool fashioned from sleek metal rods. Using a CNC lathe and the skilled hands of veteran machinists, we fabricated the finely tapered solid stainless steel and brass rods one by one. The resulting piece is a timeless stool whose aesthetic beauty has been maximized by a dedication to minimalism throughout the entire process.
