INSPIRATION: The Angel of Sorrow has emerged as an experience of a personal tragedy and as a wish to support other people at a very difficult moment in their lifes. The moment of sorrow unites people and helps to recover from the trauma of their experience.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Angel of Sorrow Pendant is a piece of unique jewelry that keeps memory about people we have lost, but who will be remembered for eternity. This jewelry reminds to cherish our loved ones every moment of every day in our life. Angel supports people who is surrounding by sadness and grief. Blue stones represent tears of sorrow that pour down the angel's wings.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Angel of Sorrow is created as a pendant but could be easily transformed into brooch-pin.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project was originally designed and completed in November 2018, Carlsbad, CA

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 14K Pink Gold with Topazes. The pendant is created as a 3D CAD design within Matrix, printed the wax model on a 3D printer and produced by traditional lost-wax casting process with Pink Gold.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research indicates that not so many pieces of jewelry dedicated to the tragic and sorrow events in people lives; however, a lot of people do not want to lose the connection to close people and treasure memories about them.The research was done using online tools and searches.
CHALLENGE: The challenge was to create a pendant with classic jewelry design but in its detailed review, the composition must reveal an image of an angel.
Another challenge was to bring a sense of spirituality to a piece of jewelry that would capture deep memories and emotions.
