| DESIGN NAME: OCT The Rivirea PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: This is exactly what our project wants to show: restraining from overstatement and sentiment, seizing the day and giving full play to simplicity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Present culture shows the respect for ordinary people, things and days, while nature stands for a lifestyle of cherishment and reverence. This is exactly what our project wants to show: restraining from overstatement and sentiment, seizing the day and giving full play to simplicity. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Concealing and revealing coexist in a dialectical way.Therefore, we try to apply it to our project, and like it to be seen as a space game of rhythm rather than a skill of design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2018, completed in July 2018, started construction in Nanchang in July 2018 and completed in November 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: At the end of the room is an evident water bar table. From afar, the two stately black stone walls stand at two sides, like deep gorges concealing everything. White marble bar table is like a pontoon bridge between gorges, from which water murmurs down. You can bustle around sand table as well as in and out of chat rooms. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Located on the west bank of xianghu lake, the project was like a floating "square box" which connected by the sculpture with the park entrance. TAGS: exhibition, retail, commercial, sales, interior RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Culture is an abstract concept. In pursuit of concretizing culture, designers are used to focusing on the long history of cities while breaking with present culture and nature. That is why urban designs for paying honor to local history instead become even stranger, making them nothing but mere symbols.Present culture shows the respect for ordinary people, things and days, while nature stands for a lifestyle of cherishment and reverence. CHALLENGE: In addition to showcasing light in various ways, our project also thinks highly of the spatiality of light to present the fourth dimension, time. From spring to winter, sunrise to sunset, light makes different feelings to people in displaying elapsing time.
