| DESIGN NAME: P Y Lung PRIMARY FUNCTION: Breath Training Game INSPIRATION: Most of the time breathing training device were used by professional athletes or wind instrumentalists to improve their lung capacity, but actually everyone will be benefit from regular breath training. When the team had observed this point, and wish to adjust the device closer and intimately that everyone will acquire maximum benefits from it. Toy-like design seems to be a good direction for all ages, eventually an idea came in mind. A new breath training device was realized and integrated into people's daily lives, bringing more creativity and joy to the healthy life of human beings. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Users blow the ball to go through the different checkpoints on the track by controlling the inhale and exhale of air, eventually exercised their lung, improve and enhance the breathing tactics. Users would adjust the magnet in the breath builder according to their respiratory condition. The track with various modules, is flexible and changeable, offering different degree of difficulty. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Users follow their idea and choose the level of difficulty by assembling the ball tracks and the setting of the checkpoints. By controlling the magnet in the breath builder, users need to let the ball passing the route to the end of track, which enhance their cardiovascular function. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in July 2018 and was completed in Tainan, Taiwan in March 2019, and having its first exhibition in biggest department store of Tainan, March 2019, and first week of May 2019 the Young Designers' Exhibition held in world trade center of Taipei. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene plastic. Production technology: 3D printing. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Overall TAGS: ABS plastic, breathing implement, orbit, modular, game, checkpoint, magnet RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Through the design of the product, its simple and intriguing usage exactly provides the public the entry to be aware of the enhancement of cardiovascular function. The structure of this product is mainly assembled by two items: the ball track and breath builder. CHALLENGE: Since this product relies on the magnetic effect, we are dedicated to providing a simplified assembly process of the ball track for users. On the other hand, for holding it firmly, we minimized the size of breath builder and rebuilt the interior structure many times. At the same time, we solved the problem by taking advantage of magnet repelled effect.
