DESIGN NAME: Global Peace Film Festival 2017
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Identity
INSPIRATION: The Global Peace Film Festival, uses the power of the moving image to further the cause of peace on earth. The festival works to connect expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for action and change. We defined five core values for the identity: Unity, Love, Freedom, Peace, and Culture. Based on them, we defined design keywords to achieve consistent communication.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The festival’s identity was emphasized with bright colors in order to bring emotion up and diversity, in a topic that has a negative background and represents an important issue worldwide. We used an artistic feel on multicultural images with a motif of global union. Colors add energy and a lightheartedness, taking it away from its seriousness. All this helped to build a consistent identity from all design applications; logo, typography and collateral pieces.

CHALLENGE: The main challenge in designing the corporate identity for GPFF, was to generate a positive and captivating stamp, for a movement that covers such controversial topics as war, hunger, social discrimination, and others, where the background is sad and negative.
