DESIGN NAME: The Top of Cloud
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant Space
INSPIRATION: Firstly, the project sits in Xi'an, which has long been a capital in Chinese history. Besides, the project is on the top floor of the highest building in Xi'an, where the whole city can be seen. It also represents luxury. Secondly, the metal curtains hanging from the ceiling respond to the rectangular urban grid. The indoor decoration is a new application of cultural imagery, such as the Chinese character decoration on the wall. Thirdly, different functional areas provide unique feelings.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is situated on the top floor of Xi'an Greenland Center, which is the highest building in the city. The project consists of restaurant, lounge, private rooms and party rooms. And the bar is the longest one in Asia.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design of the project started at the beginning of 2018 and it was finished in October of the same year.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: -
CHALLENGE: The hardest part of the design is to respond to its location-Xi'an, where has long been a capital in China history. There are so many characteristics of Xi'an can be chosen to present, such as Terracotta Warriors. In the end, the atmosphere of Chang'an (name of Xi'an in the past) was brought in this design as well as other significant objects.
