| DESIGN NAME: Taj PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: Taj Mahal is an ambassador of Shah Jahan's strong interest in building and artistic innovations. The new architectural style includes aspects that were to impinge much of subsequent Indian architecture. Symmetry along two sides of a central axis, new columnar styles, curvilinear forms, and symbolic decorations based on naturalistic plant motifs are all characteristics of the Shahjahan style that can be found in the Taj Mahal Complex. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Taj is a Jewelry piece which is made in 18k gold, diamonds and pearls. The shape is inspired by an octagonal lotus flower pond placed upside down. To give it a classical look the beauty of euro shank is used. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product is a finger ring which is supposed to wear for occasions such as cocktails, weddings, etc. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2019 in Carlsbad, USA and finished in December 2019 in Carlsbad, USA |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design was first made in a 3d software known as matrix. it then went through the process of cad/cam, casting, cleaning, stone setting, and the final polishing. NAME: Pranay Kanodia PROFILE: Pranay Kanodia, a National Award-winning Designer who was born into a family of Jewelry business for decades was always fascinated with the designs he saw at the display walls. As a kid, he used to sketch many designs that were improvised by the elders in the family and that helped in gaining interest in designing. He joined an advance diploma in Jewelry designing course from Raffles Millennium Design Institute and later got an opportunity to work as an intern under the able guidance of leading Jewelry Designer Varuna D Jani, Mumbai. He later joined Gia for Professional Jewelry Design and today has 05 years of professional experience. The designs are already a hit among leading business families and other celebrities. The jewelry selection is a tall task. But when you have the expertise and guidance then jewelry buying can be a cakewalk. His main goal is to encourage young designers to pursue their dreams without thinking of age and experience as an obstacle. Apart from being a jeweler, he wants to inspire and educate. |
