DESIGN NAME: Human Light
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Photography
INSPIRATION: "Architecture is the 'light' of the human intellect." This is the core concept of this photography series, and aims to convey a sense of pristine in the architectural marvels achieved by mankind. There is not a single extra element on both the interior space and exterior facade, and the space is elegantly lit by a glass rotunda top, the light isn't just natural light, it is also the light of the human intellect.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This photography series was shot at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. The clean, minimal interior and exterior facade, greatly helps the images depict the sense of purity and serenity. Through displaying these elements, the photographs serve as a meditative medium, allowing viewers to truly appreciate the visual minimalism and aesthetics in the space.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The photographs are all about generating the 'pure' and 'quiet' atmosphere, which allows the viewers to be lost in their thoughts and enter a state of meditation, while appreciating the aesthetic and geometric beauty of 'crystalization of human wisdom.'
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2018 in Munich and ended in August 2018 in Shanghai. This includes the shoot process, as well as the post processing work.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All images were shot with a Canon 5D Mk.III DSLR, and images were processed first using Adobe Lightroom then retouched with Adobe Photoshop. All photos were captured with an aperture of F4.0, to provide a certain degree of depth but at the same time presenting a wholistic view of the spaces.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: All images are in a digital format, and are available in a 3840*3840px, 300dpi format.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The images were shot by at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, and edited later on with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for retouching. The idea was to encapsulate natural light in man-made spaces, presenting a clean and minimal aesthetic look.
