DESIGN NAME: Inner Peace in a Crowded City
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Condo
INSPIRATION: The high working pressure makes it a dream to have a nest that is free to relax. When designing a small space of dwellings, the use of light, mirror reflection and visual penetration become extremely important.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As soon as you enter the door, you can feel the light and shadow effect that the zebra curtain brings through different phases of space. The accents of the grille distinguish the space, but also guide through the space, showing a spacious vision. Light and paper make the texture of the wood comfortable and perfect. Black mirror, wood and wooden floors are used in the house to create a warm atmosphere. The oriental elegance is expressed through tatami and paper.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The original condition of this room is a very closed space, small and dark. After learning that the owner loves the oriental style, we use the natural Zen materials, such as stone, wood, paper, floor tiles and mirrors rearrange and transform the space. After the completion, the owner was very satisfied and said that he likes to go home and feel different relaxation atmosphere from morning to night.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design of the small space must carefully organize the simple interface, use the hidden door, paper door and other methods to solve the possible messy room, and then push the light layer to enter the space, and make the space feel larger through light and reflection.
CHALLENGE: The appropriate door paper must allow the light to be evenly sprinkled into the living room and the entrance. The color temperature generated by the sunlight through the paper must match the space, and it must have characteristics that are not easy to be damaged and easy to maintain. We spent three months searching the country and finally found the only technology and inventory in Keelung.
